About The Baby Book Boutique When founder and owner Susanna Stroud Maples, began her search for a unique and beautiful baby book, she was disappointed in the limited options available. Not only did every store have the same selections, but all the baby books looked alike. Having waited until her 30's to have children, she wanted something exceptional and different, but was disappointed to find nothing on the market that met her needs, either in stores or online. She wanted something that was a reflection of her tastes, in a format that was easy to complete. She was intimidated by the numerous detailed questions all the baby books she looked at included, like your child's immunization chart and dental records. She felt like a falure before she had even started her son's baby book! Knowing her limitations, she realized that any of the books she looked at would be full of gaping holes for her son to wonder why she hadn't taken the time to fill them in. Moms today simply don't have the time our mothers and grandmothers had to detail each event in our growth. We need something that fits our busy and full lives. Many of her friends had good intentions when they bought their baby books or were given one as a gift. She heard time and time again, "I just don't have time to do it and her book doesn't have a place to put the pictures I have stashed in boxes." Her personal experience and that of her friends led her to create this baby book. In her opinion, the custom baby books have broader importance because they bring new interest to a valuable but fading family tradition. Without the changes and updating we have made, more and more busy moms would either buy a book and never complete it, or not even bother buying one because of the perceived time commitment. Children and families would not have anything to look back upon. Our book takes all the obstacles away and gives today's busy moms a way to remember important family traditions or milestones, all recorded upon beautiful, one-of-a-kind watercolor art. This baby book tells the story with both text and pictures, side by side. Our beautiful baby books provide a unique and complete format to record a family's story for future generations to enjoy!
